How may I pay?

North Roswell Internal Medicine accepts payment by cash, check, debit card, or credit card. For your convenience, payments can be made on our patient portal or to our billing staff.

Do you have any instructions for new patients?

New patients are asked to arrive 30 minutes early for their appointments.

Please make sure that you bring a photo id and your insurance card.

If you have an HMO insurance please confirm that one of our physicians are listed as your Primary Care Provider.

Bring a list of your current medications.

 

How are my medication refills handled?

For the fastest response please call your pharmacy and have them request your refill electronically. You may also leave a message on your provider’s nurses line. Requests are usually handled within 48 business hours. Processing times may vary depending on the availability of your doctor, who for your safety must review each request prior to completion.

How are insurance referrals or authorizations handled?

If you need a referral to see a specialist and the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner has not seen you for the condition you are being referred for  you will need to make an appointment to see the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner before a referral will be issued.

If you have been referred by one of our providers or you need an updated referral:

  1. Please call the office and leave a message on the referral line.
  2. Allow 72 hours for Referrals or Prior Authorizations to be completed.

Are there service charges?

If an account is turned over to collections the account guarantor is responsible for all collections fee. There will be a fee for the completion of forms of up to $35.00, depending on the length and scope of the forms.

What if I have a question for my provider?

If a patient has a medical question for one of our providers they are always urged to make an appointment.  Otherwise, our providers are available through our patient portal.

I have an HMO policy, what should I know?

If you have an HMO plan with which we are contracted: Please make sure that your card has Dr. Goga Vukotic, Dr. George Kanes, or Dr. Farah Mubarak Ali listed as the Primary Care Physician.  This should be done before your appointment, if one of our doctors is not listed as your Primary Care Physician your insurance will not pay for your visit.

What is my financial responsibility for services?

Your financial responsibility depends on a variety of factors, your insurance plan and the type of service provided play a role in if you incur charges. We urge all of our patients to read their insurance policies and know their benefits.

Co-payments are required at the time of service and if you have a deductible that has not been met you will be asked to pay a portion of the visit toward that deductible.

What if I miss an appointment?

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment please let us know as soon as possible with at least (24) hours prior notice.

A NO SHOW fee of $50 may be charged to your account and three (3) non cancelled missed appointments are grounds for patient discharge.

What if I have an emergency after hours?

If you believe you have a life threatening emergency, dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. When an urgent need arises after our scheduled office hours, you can reach our provider on call through our answering service.
